Restaurant owners in Brisbane claim a group of Irish Travellers and their unruly children have been scamming them by planting shards of glass in their food and then refusing to pay for their expensive meals and wine. Their modus operandi includes disrupting service by screaming and crying at staff near the end of their meals, and threatening legal action, until their bill is waived. Venues are losing hundreds of dollars to the fraud. See less
