Firstly he hears a supermarket shoplifting claim against retired local Alfred Breuer, who took the 'three light bulbs for free' advertisement literal, ignoring the customary 'from a minimum sales amount' proviso. Althammers commandeers justice-allergic cabby Frieda Mirko from the former GDR, who owes him for a mild sentence, as his driver and informal investigator. Animal rights activist Fred Meister is charged for freeing and thus killing some of the chickens of unconventional cattle/poultry-for-pet-hire-farmer Hanna Christ, but Frieda stumbled upon his accomplice's fabrication of false evidence.
