But it was also an event that very nearly didn't happen and only six months prior also saw the creator of Red Bull Cape Fear almost lose his life to the sport he has dedicated his entire life to. In this half hour documentary we see behind the scenes of the 2016 Red Bull Cape Fear event for the first time through the eyes of its creator, big wave surfer Mark Mathews.
