In December 2016, the West Virginia Interfaith Refugee Ministry received federal approval to resettle 100 refugees. Then, President Trump announced his controversial travel ban, which aimed to restrict the entry of refugees and nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries. Despite the uncertainty created by the ban, ministry leaders are still working to bring refugees to West Virginia. See less
