A few weeks after a harsh break up with her high school sweetheart, Maya convinces Janine to come out to Halloween party. Hoping that getting out of the house will cheer Janine up, the innocent night out ends up turning into her worst nightmare. Left violated and alone, Janine draws deep into herself for the first time, trying to come to terms with the night's events. Feeling as if she has nowhere to turn, she struggles not to blame herself in a society that seems uncomfortable and unwilling to listen.
