The documentary follows Alicia's journey by looking at her beginnings in the sport, to her 2013 positive drug test for Hydrochlorothiazide, and subsequent three-year hellacious legal battle to prove her innocence culminating in an unprecedented 4th place finish at the 2016 Olympic Games. The documentary analyzes the terrifying realization of how Hydrochlorothiazide has ended up in the water table, and the increased number of athletes that have tested positive for a substance that they never knew existed. Through interviews with family, friends, coaches, and her legal team, 'Alicia' seeks to get to the bottom of not only what has transpired in her short professional career thus far, but also the state and ideals of clean sport globally.
