There is one employee, though, who continues to be in a splendid mood and disappears in the middle of the day under vague excuses: head designer Clarke. He meets up with Julie at his old studio apartment. It is obvious that Clarke is tempted by the sexy journalist because he gives her some lingerie as a gift of his appreciation. Thorne and Macy decide that it is best for everyone if they elope. Sally is crushed when she receives the news. She calls her favorite make-up artist to don her a disguise so that she can visit her prospective son-in-law at work.
