The single parent finally wants a partner again after her son moves out - and unsuspectingly plunges another woman into a marital crisis. Christina Große, in the first two films as a psychotherapist in the role of a pointed observer, now finds herself in turbulence like "Die Schöders" and "Die Winters". With surprising twists, this family comedy tells the third variant of life after the children, this time with a blended family as the starting point. The television film keeps a fine balance between clever observations and fast-paced humor. "A third of them will soon register for marriage therapy," comments couple therapist Dr. Merz with regard to the proud parents at their children's graduation party. Katrin Busche doesn't have to fear a marital crisis: she and Daniel have long been divorced. He started a new family while they were raising their son, Eric. In return, Daniel gave her the right to live in his idyllic town house. But now the high school graduate Eric is moving to Copenhagen to study - and Daniel is demanding the house back. He wants to sell it because his new family has children and he needs the money. However, Katrin doesn't even think about leaving the field. The physiotherapist has enough to do with the upcoming opening of her own practice and also has to take care of her increasingly forgetful father. One ray of hope is the sympathetic lawyer Stefan, who is interested in Katrin. However, he is still married and does not seem to be playing with open cards. In this tricky situation, Eric suddenly comes to visit his girlfriend Mia and surprises his parents with a "happy" message: Mia is pregnant.
