Before the arrival of the guests everything is chaos, and Charlotte is keeping a tight leash on her hardworking family. Especially Jørgen, who still hasn't finished his speech. Ingrid is upset that her boyfriend is not invited, until Grethe comes up with an idea. In the middle of the chaos, Clara confronts Grethe about her deepest secret, which shocks Grethe, who then leaves the party to go pack her things.
