Billy finds ...See moreAlthea confronts Nick over his treatment of John and wants him to apologize for losing control, but he vehemently refuses. Carolee asks Steve to have a talk with Billy about not mentioning their trouble with Dan to Mona. Billy finds Steve's request strange since he was cleared of any wrongdoing and wonders why Steve wouldn't want his mother to know. Mona reveals to Carolee that Steve asked her not to play favorites with the grandchildren then opines that Carolee's feelings for Stephanie may include a bit of jealousy toward Erich. Nick goes back to the lab and sarcastically asks Althea for an itemized list of all the things he needs to apologize for to John. Althea attempts to make him understand that nothing justifies his cruelty toward John, adding that John wants to move out because he's afraid of what Nick might do next. As the argument escalates, Althea finally asks Nick what it will take to make him see what a monster he's become. Nick reminds her that the last time she called him a monster, they ended up getting a divorce. The whole situation seems like deja vu to him because once again, things are only fine when he agrees with everything Althea wants.
