Julian Spielmann's wife Lucie gives birth to their daughter aboard the voyage with her parents, diplomat Klaus and Vera Mitteregger, to the island where those met and raised Lucie, for their silver anniversary. But the early birth in stormy weather yields a colored baby, suggesting Julian was cuckolded, which Lucie denies, but doc comes up with an alternative theory and test. Jazzsinger Jeannie expected to be hired for a grand jazz-show but finds herself on stage only with unknown yodeler Thomas, and ex Hardy is aboard. Ship's hairdresser Stefan Arndt 's recruit Katharina Braun turns out much older and fatter then her application picture, but conspires with old, rich Emilia Sandhoff who has been residing aboard for three years and takes to her.
