When crime author Solveig Karlsdóttir, from capital Reykjavik, accompanies investigating commissioner Finsen there, they find and disarm a small girl holding the murder-pistol. Solveig tries to win the confidence of Yrsa, who seems too much afraid to come clean even to mother Rósa Gunlaugsdottir about the killing.
