While ...See moreReconnecting after more than 50 years, Hollywood Artist Zox and childhood friend Cru team up to go on a first-of-its-kind, cross-country US POP-UP ART tour-from the Pacific to the Atlantic, down to the Gulf and back to California. While intending to capture the frenetic race to bring Zox's art for one-day exhibitions to fourteen regional cities, the journey was compounded by the drive into the heartland that, in turn, brought American art to them. The project captures the inspirations and concepts that inform the creative process underlying the art while showing the United States through the artist eye. An image rich visual poem of symbolic iconography draws fresh connections between the unifying elements uniting the US as well as the characteristics that leave gaping spaces between regional ideologies. US visual culture comes in many forms, they discovered-from signage to murals Architecture, statuary, design motifs whether antiquated or contemporary. The results is the dynamic of work from a career artist and pieces of societal and folk expressions. This documentary is the interplay of these parallel journeys. See less
