There, Mercedes meets Takagi, an old Japanese man who promises to give her and her family a better life if she marries him. Though Mercedes does not love him, she marries him because of money, only to find out that Takagi is actually penniless. After five years of marriage, Mercedes finally ends her relationship with Takagi. Soon, Mercedes falls in love with Benny who also promises her a better life. A year later, Mercedes and Benny have their first born, Miho. Mercedes discovers that Benny has mistresses and she decides to end their relationship. Because of her two failed relationships, Mercedes vows to protect and take care of Miho so she will not grow up like her. She also becomes a very strict mother to her daughter. To make ends meet, Mercedes works again as an entertainer all day, making her unable to attend to Miho's needs. Due to her mom's absence and strict upbringing, Miho rebels against Mercedes. She learns to smoke, drink, and even to shoplift. Making things worse, Miho gets pregnant. It pains Mercedes that Miho ended up just like her. Still, Mercedes accepts her daughter wholeheartedly. When Miho gives birth to her daughter, Aimi, she finally realizes the sacrifices her mom has done for her. Miho also vows to take care of and raise Aimi the way her mom raised her. In the end, Mercedes and Aimi become Miho's inspiration in joining Pinoy Big Brother 737 where she becomes the Big Winner. Written by anonymous See less
