Wandering through the couple's vacant home on a snowy winter night, Judith remembers her bloody revenge in a series of dynamically framed danced scenes. Former Martha Graham principal dancer Peter Sparling dances the role of the husband while also serving as director and editor. Eryn Rosenthal creates a haunting portrait of paranoia and resolve as Judith. The musical score by William Schuman was originally commissioned by Graham in 1950 and typifies the hyperdramatic film music of that era.
