At Martha's urging, Toni decides to confront Dan though in Carolee's presence. Carolee promises Steve that she'll stay locked in the hotel room. With Erich soon to be moved to a crib, Karen thinks she might be able to return to Germany more quickly than she previously thought. Steve suggests that if she could get over her feelings for Matt, she could accept a permanent job at Hope Memorial so that they could raise Erich together. Karen angrily rejects Steve's ideas and phones Maggie to discuss a grave concern. Billy visits Toni at the lab and tells her that Carolee and Emma left the Allison home after Dan was mean to them. Toni promises Billy that she'll do everything in her power to reunite them. After a talk with Hank about Nick's odd behavior, Mike is determined to find out from Matt why the lithium project was canceled.
