(THE ...See moreThis piece is a meditation on time's passage, gesture, family, the good things, the bad things, and the idea from Gertrude Stein 'that everything being alike everything is different, simply different, naturally simply different.' (THE MAKING OF AMERICANS). All but two of Bertha's children have passed away, but 10 of her 13 grandchildren are still around. We corralled six of them into performing the same actions their parents did for us in 1975. in our film BERTHA'S CHILDREN.
