Northmen inhabit the land of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Despite the hard climate and a not so fertile soil, they manage to adapt and develop an economy based on a system of clans and villages. As time went by, something changed... The population grew up considerably, which brought up a high demand of farm land by the more powerful clans. This ended up on an era of killings and assaults of the smaller and defenceless villages. A Volva was a woman who had released herself from the strong bonds that normally surrounded women in the old Norse clan society. She travelled the land and was summoned in times of crisis.
