Nate later tells Tori that what happened with his job could be a deal-breaker. However, after Irene tells Nate Tori is more important than his job and Justin points out to Tori that she always puts Nate last, they reconcile. John spends the night at the surf club. Nate tries to plead his case to Marilyn but after she talks about her fears that there is something bad inside John that the brain tumour merely brought out, he suggests John move in with him and Irene instead. Tori and Raffy plan to throw a surprise going away party for Phoebe and Justin against Justin's wishes and Tori asks Irene to cater. Afterwards, Leah realises it's the same night as Madge Wilkins' 80th birthday party, prompting another argument. Leah then tells Irene she can't forgive her yet but will try to be less hostile. After talking with Justin about Ava, Roo decides James should be part of their baby's life and leaves him a message, only to get a contract from his family's lawyer saying he wants to be cut out of the child's life.
