Heath cuts his hand on some barbed wire and Alf later finds him drinking on the beach. John insists on going back to work at the surf club, worrying Alf and Marilyn. Alf eventually sends him home from lifeguard duty and he agrees to cut back. Brody and Jeannie make up and he invites her round for lunch but they fall out again over his opinion of the life she's led. Tori suggests he should cut his losses. Roo convinces Matt to go round and see Evelyn but she sends him away. Brody later comes round and they discuss moving on. Brody and Jeannie decide to call it a day and she gets another job in Yabbie Creek. Evelyn goes to apologise to Matt and offers to kick him a meal but instead stuns him with a kiss.
