However, despite these struggles, Ashley remains optimistic while undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, Ashley's condition caused a rift between her mother Jennifer and her grandmother Cleofe. The grandmother takes care of the sick child because Jennifer does not have the heart to see her daughter suffer from her diseases.
