Despite the sudden influx of news reports, the focus of the main news institutions has been to cover the political and economic side of the story, rather than the impact that the crisis can have on a family or person. Our aim is to present the lengths that families fleeing Syria and surrounding countries have gone to in order to keep themselves and their families safe. We want to not only show the terrible and traumatic journeys these people have undertaken, but to also show the resilience and bravery of the people who have been faced with shocking circumstances.
