Maggie helps Matt look at the case of the strongbox in a new light when she wonders why the guilty party didn't destroy the evidence in the first place. Carolee stuns Dr. Creighton with the news that it's too late to help her because Matt has already suspended her. Creighton vows to Carolee that he's going to put an end to it once and for all. Maggie apologizes to Matt, though he admits that he's angry, too. Maggie tells Matt that she feels that Gary is reaching out to her.
