It is also an art manifesto about getting higher and faster, to make instruments spark and glow beyond conventionalism. Motoharu is one of its creators, a revolutionary on the saxophone. This is an observational documentary about his music and life within the Japanese contemporary music scene, from underground jam-sessions in Shibuya to crowded shows in the skyscrapers of Osaka. Also, it is a glance into his intimacy, his silent love for his boyfriend, his rehearsals, private classes and night laughs along with his friends on Shinjuku. But it is also a contemplation of his imperfections and silent moments of his everyday life and how this connects with his jazz as a whole human experience. See less
