Irene is taken aback when Paul says that both Ann and Jill were there. Irene says that she told Ann to check things out, but Ann declined. Therefore, it was a coincidence that Ann and Paul ran into each other. Irene pushes Paul to hire Ann to decorate the apartment for him. Hoping to get a rise out of Walter, Jill tells Walter about her and Ann's excursion. Walter is non-plus-ed which disappoints Jill. Ann too is disappointed that Walter was not interested in her seeing Paul. Paul lets Mady know that he is going to take the apartment. Mady insists on helping Paul decorate. Ann explains to Walter why she was looking at the apartment for Paul, when the phone rings and it is Irene.
