By gathering the remnants of their memories they bring back to life La Siberia, an abandoned industrial town that was responsible for nurturing Bogota's urban explosive growth in the 20th century. While facing the ruins, their memories recall a hundred years of national history: the abrupt appearance of industry in the middle of a late feudalism, the union struggles from the 1970s, the fragile promises of modernity. At the same time, the dismantling of one of the iconic constructions appears as a new threat to its existence. Will anything remain as memory of La Siberia in the future? This drift reveals the ambiguity of memory, its power to rebuild the past and its fragility to overcome the natural cycle of life. See less
