In response to the tragedies wrought by the Assad regime, Jandali writes music that unites people, performing it at great personal risk. His song Watani Ana (I Am My Homeland) was so powerful that his parents were beaten back in Syria after he performed it at a demonstration in DC. He is the first Arab-American composer to premiere his work at Carnegie Hall.
