Having murdered Addams, Mason tells Hannibal that Joel is next. Mr. Hannibal agrees to meet with Ruby. Ruby tells Lurlene that everything is going according to plan. Lurlene closes The Coop early and leaves Joel alone in the bar while she goes to make that day's bank deposit. Justin manages to tell Reena that they need to talk about the trip to Dallas. Ashley questions Mr. Hannibal about his failing companies, but he dismisses it. Mason grabs Joel and tries to strangle him, but Joel breaks free, makes it to the fuse box, and plunges the bar into darkness. Reena informs Justin they have nothing to discuss because she's sure with Mr. Hannibal's help she'll win the bet. Joel and Mason struggle in the dark, and Joel renders him unconscious.
