Each season, it follows one professional paintball team through the pre-season process of assembling their team. The show focuses on both young hopefuls chasing their dream-often via an open tryout, and veteran free-agents trying to keep theirs alive. THE ROSTER also turns the lens toward the delicate alchemy of how the new additions blend with the existing team, and contributed throughout the season. Beginning in January 2013, Planet Eclipse embedded their ETV production crew in San Antonio, and Austin, Texas with professional paintballers San Antonio X-Factor. For the next eight months, the cameras rolled on X-Factor as they audition top pros, grind young amateur players through a brutal 2-Day elimination Mini-camp, on the way to collecting 15 top-notch players capable of winning a professional tournament.
