His assertive, God-fearing mother, Betrude (Greer C. Morrison), has grown weary of his empty promises to clean up his act and his room and attend Sunday church services. She constantly reminds him of the old adage that "tomorrow's not promised." To stop his mother's nagging, in exchange for sleep, Dwayne agrees to attend the afternoon church service. Dragging his friends Troy (Mark Gauthier) and Jeffery (Christopher Cato) along with him, Dwayne notices something quite different about this particular Sunday. Why is everyone around him saying that "tomorrow's not promised?" Ignoring the call to change his life for the better, he leaves church and ends up in a tragic accident. He begs for a second chance.
