Throughout history, time travelers had been controlling the past. Cadet Jade Wright is sent back in time to spy on David Matthews but when she discovers the plan to kill the whole family to change the future, Jade betrays her own people, and goes on the run with the daughter Amelia. To escape the time agents pursuing her, she goes back in time to a pivotal point in an effort to change the events leading to the families death, but it's a fixed point that can not be changed.
