When he goes to wash his hands in a nearby hair salon, he finds the salon's owner, Steffi Lindinger, lying dead on the floor - apparently brutally murdered. The cash register has been emptied, and everything looks like a classic robbery-murder. The perpetrator left no clues. The case turns out to be a hairy affair on several levels... However, thanks to the testimony of the last customer, Renate Aufhammer, the time of the murder can be determined quite precisely. Heiko Lindinger, who worked as a hairdresser for his wife, has a watertight alibi for the time of the crime: He was shopping at the local supermarket and plausibly proves this with a receipt. But what about the attractive Miriam Sander, who also works in the hair salon? She was at home at the time of the crime - but without witnesses. Although all the evidence now points to a random act, Hubert and Staller remain suspicious. Sonja Wirth is ordered to infiltrate the salon. Perhaps it was a crime of passion after all? Hubert and Staller, with the help of a supermarket cashier, reexamine Heiko Lindinger's alibi and experience a special surprise. Meanwhile, another incident gains significance: a counterfeit 50-euro note turns up at Sabrina Rattlinger's house. A highly informative conversation with Yazid brings Hubert and Staller a decisive step closer to solving the case. Because it looks as if the perpetrator can be convicted based on counterfeit money.
