Steve and John were at a loss over Walter's behavior when he called them and said that he needed to talk to them immediately. Steve failed to convince Walter to stay home as the approaching storm began to cause treacherous driving conditions. Walter informed a dazed Lenore that he intended to confess his crimes. After he left into the stormy night, Lenore went into a rage and began to destroy the house that Walter had given her.
