In a sequence of six second events their lives are turned upside-down. Shortly after becoming engaged, Scarlet unexpectedly gets pregnant, forcing Julian to get a steady job instead of pursuing his art. Scarlet is clearly overwhelmed with her own struggles to pass school, be a compassionate fiancé and prepare for motherhood while Julian comes to terms with giving up his ideal career. Resentment builds between the couple leading to a huge dispute that could be the end of them. Their lives pass them by so quickly they forget to be thankful for each second they share together. Julian leaves for work one night and neither of them take even six seconds to kiss or say goodbye. What happens in the next six seconds will change their lives forever.
