Connor explains that Brooke believes that she has a safe marriage and is therefore considering giving her shares back to the Forresters. Taylor asks for time to think and rushes to Ridge's bedside. There she runs into Thorne, who is visiting his brother to share news about his upcoming wedding as well as Macy's hate mail situation. Meanwhile, Stephanie voices her concern to Brooke that taking care of two young children, a blind husband and a company are too much for one person. She encourages her to hand the reigns of Forrester Creations back to Eric. Brooke does not want to rush anything, though. James is still being held captive in the dungeon below Sheila's and Eric's Holmby Hills mansion. Sheila wants to make James submissive by depriving him of food: he is supposed to write a letter to his secretary in which he states that he had to leave town due to a family emergency.
