On the way there, he is intrigued by the work of a mysterious graffiti artist who paints on the wall of a cafe in the downtown square. Upstairs in the room of the opera house, he endures the harsh teachings of Ms. Evans, his piano instructor. He struggles to pay attention to his piano studies due to his interest in the work of the graffiti artist outside, which he can see from a clear window. Furthermore, the graffiti artist attracts a crowd of bystanders: some businessmen who are hostile toward his work, and some mysterious masked teen activists who defend his work. Ms. Evans, fed up with Henri's lack of focus during the lesson, attempts to close the drapes of the window, yet she is halted by the force of a rock thrown through the window from the outside crowd. Terrified by this event, Ms. Evans and Angeline leave the opera house and attempt to leave the park. In a rare rebellious moment, Henri runs away from Ms. Evans and his mother towards the mural painted by the artist, who is being detained at the scene. He catches a sight of the mural, a visual reference to the Haitian Revolution, before he is scolded by his mother, who drags him away from the mural and out of the park.
