After Michael leaves for work Grant receives a visit from a visibly angry Sheila. When Grant explains that his original plans to lease a house in Brentwood fell through, Sheila mentions that she will miss him as a neighbor. As the conversation shifts to the events at Forrester Creations, Sheila is extremely pleased to hear that Stephanie admitted herself to a mental institution. Meanwhile, Thorne has accompanied Stephanie to the hospital. Dr. Lowney listens as his patient depicts her symptoms: the dizziness, the inability to keep a train of thought, and the delusions. Stephanie is terrified that she might lose her mind. The doctor assures her that he will find the cause, whether it is physical or psychological. Macy delivers the shocking news about Stephanie's health woes to Sally. At the jail, James urges Brooke to open up to him. He was asked by Eric to assess her psychological state to make certain that she is no danger to the children. In a lengthy conversation, Brooke manages to prove to James that she is not deranged or unstable. James promises to try to convince Eric that she will not run away with Rick and Bridget.
