Despite a break from 1917 to 1989, the "Kommersant" did celebrate its centenary because the newspaper was not published in that period of time "through no fault of the editors." The film presents interviews with the current and former owners of the "Kommersant", Alisher Usmanov and Boris Berezovsky. It also present Vladimir Yakovlev, the founder of the "Kommersant", Ksenia Ponomareva, the former chief editor of the newspaper , Andrei Kolesnikov, a columnist for the "Kommersant", Maxim Kowalski, chief editor of the "Vlast" magazine, and his assistant, Veronica Kutsyllo.
