Keira, the more responsible and controlling older sister, and Lauren, the younger and more rebellious sister, who has been estranged for almost three years, are forced back into each other's lives. Their mother, facing the end of her life, has left them a series of digital video messages, a trail of guidance intended to help them come towards each other after she is gone. The Narrative predominantly takes place as they go on this journey together, filled with tension, regret, and uncertainty of what could happen. Lauren does not want to do this; she is resilient and angry at her sister, but Keira insists in order to preserve their mother's final wish. Their attention reaches a boiling point during an intense confrontation. Lauren's history of avoidance, paired with her older sister's micromanagement, is revealed as her own defense mechanism against grief. The three years of Silence between them are finally broken by raw, ugly truths about their upbringing and their shared fear of a future without their mother. In the final act, a concluding video message from their mother serves as the emotional catalyst. She acknowledges the messiness of the bond, reminding them that families fight and families make up. This final message softens the sister's armor.
