While Rosie acts as though he has only been gone short while, her calls to his office reveal a chilling discrepancy: he hasn't been seen in two months. the sound of a baby's relentless crying serves as a constant auditory cue for Rosie's escalating mental distress. she attempts to maintain facade of normalcy by singing "hush little baby" those regarding a cracked looking glass - become haunting metaphor for her own fractured psyche. As she paces her home and obsessively checks to blur. The tension reaches a breaking point when voices from outside her home plead for her to open the door. When she claim "Thomas is home" it becomes clear that Rosie is experiencing a profound dissociative break. The film is a somber study of how the minds creates alternate realities to shield itself from unimaginable trauma. by conclusion Rosie retreats further into her lullaby, choosing the safety of her delusion over the pain of her loss.
