Inspired by real events, we open on a First Nations reserve crime scene as we meet WATCHER, a Woodland Cree who is spiritually connected to the land and has exceptional tracking abilities. Former detective JJ Rollins enters the mix. A no-nonsense tough street cop, willing to do whatever it takes to catch the bad guy, has been placed on a leave of absence after skewing the lines between criminal and justice one too many times. With a history of bad blood, Watcher and Rollins reluctantly agree to work together to find the missing child.
