One of them has a butterfly painted on it, which suddenly begins to fly. The boys run after it and come to a shed where an old locomotive stands. The younger boy climbs into it and drives away. The older boy gives chase in a handcar. The stationmaster, who meets him, informs them that another train will soon arrive, traveling on the same track as the locomotive.
