After a necessary surgery, Alina suddenly develops a vision problem and reports further neurological symptoms. Their terrible suspicion: Could she have inherited her mother's multiple sclerosis? A case with a familial component-this triggers Florian, who witnessed his father's death from Alzheimer's and will likely develop the disease himself someday. Both Alina and Florian must confront their heavy legacy and learn to cope with their impending future. After all, they hold the key to their present happiness-despite their illness. Ivo Maric encounters the passionate teacher Joachim Eberle, who broke his foot on a class trip. Joachim is deeply worried about his seventh-grade class, who are now left to manage on their own with student teacher Sandra.
