Beckett's quiet life shatters when he learns that his estranged younger brother Tyler has been captured by a corrupt Sheriff and marked for execution. Forced back into the world he abandoned, Beckett crosses the wasteland and reluctantly teams up with Carter, a fast-talking survivor who escaped from prison, and Cat, a sharp-witted Madam with her own reasons to fight. Along the way, Beckett uncovers Armstrong's plan to hijack Convoy Zero, the last armored train carrying the remaining supply of a life-saving vaccine-an act that would doom what's left of civilization. Saving Tyler is only the beginning. Stopping the train attack means confronting the man who shaped Beckett into a weapon-and nearly destroyed him. As the group races toward a final showdown, Beckett must choose between the isolation that has kept him alive and the people who might finally give him something to fight for.
