His umbilical cord is literally buried there, and his life has been marked by a deep bond with the mountains, especially "Yuk'sa", the Nevado del Huila. Since climbing it for the first time at thirteen, he has become a guide for some of the country's most experienced mountaineers. Today he divides his time between summits, downhill biking and fashion runways, using his journeys to raise awareness about climate change and to inspire children in his community to love and protect the highlands.
