First, they observe spider monkeys in the wild at a refuge in the Yucatan Peninsula where Mayan people have protected them and other native wildlife for generations. Next, Peter gets up close and personal with monkeys who were abandoned but have found a second chance at life at The Jungle Place sanctuary. And further north at the U.S. border, Dr. Rae finds healing hands at the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville, TX, where she assists in the rehabilitation of rescued baby spider monkeys. See less
