Gabe Wisdom, of American Money Management, and Author of Wisdom on Value Investing. Gabe proposes that the market is back to normal; the "new normal" which is more of a marketing phrase. The Dow Jones fell 1% or more 50 times, which is normal. Wisdom says to realize these are normal drops and should take advantage of them. He then discusses the UC school system, some of the best colleges in the world but among the worst in terms of investment returns on endowments. Gabe goes on to bet that interest rates would go up over next 32 years, but in the short term UC Davis needed money and the system lost $9 million on fees and penalties with rate swaps. James Hirsen, of Hirsen on Hollywood, and author of Hollywood Nation and Tales of the Left Coast calls in to discuss the FCC. Hirsen explains the FCC announcement to monitor U.S. news rooms. Based on something done in Annenberg School of Journalism, under auspices of fairly representing minorities by sending monitors to newsrooms across the country. This flies into the heart of the 1st Amendment Free Press clause. Hirsen also points out that interestingly enough, much of the major news media did not report on the FCC plans. It is almost chilling that only blogs, FOX and a few others covered the story. David Move, from Huffington Post Weird News. Shares a crazy story about two men accused of sexually abusing cows. While one was abusing the other filming, the farmer caught them on security video. People commenting on the story wondering why this is news...why is it not news?
