From the confiscated documents, he learned that the Presidential Office intended to purchase the Busan-class warship and used this information as leverage. Meanwhile, growing public pressure called for the repeal of Article 100 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of China. After retrieving its seized materials, Exclusive News Post planned a special feature exposing Chu, but the Executive Yuan suppressed the paper through the Government Information Office's authority. During the legislative session to abolish Article 100, a brawl unexpectedly broke out between ruling and opposition lawmakers, leaving Democratic Party legislator Chen Mu-Kuan injured - an event that ultimately hastened the article's repeal.
