The goods were valued at EUR70,000. Inspector Schmid, a seasoned investigator, sees him as the sole suspect; according to the fire department's incident report, only Dennis was working on the vehicle involved in the accident. Furthermore, Dennis's girlfriend, Sandra Wulkow, recently had breast surgery in Poland - so Dennis knows about it. Romy's client has doubts about the objectivity of the fire department's incident report, which was written by operations manager Thea Ballmann. The atmosphere in the fire department team is tense. However, Romy discovers that Dennis Heinrich has withheld important information from her: disciplinary proceedings are underway against him for stealing medication. The suspicion arises that Dennis has once again "gone weak" to raise the necessary funds for his girlfriend's surgery. Romy realizes that the prosecutor's accusation - money laundering by her law firm - cannot be a misunderstanding. She assumes she will represent herself, much to the dismay of Ben Ritter and her mother, Karin. Ben and Karin manage to dissuade her from this plan. Written by ARD Das Erste See less
