But when Amir sets out to challenge Israeli social norms and prejudices, he quickly realizes that the Israeli mentality is a spicier Masala than any curry he's ever known. Things get even more complicated as he constantly finds himself in conflict with his own family and community, who prefer to embrace compromise and *shanti*.
